Come From

When Ashe was a child she wrote a poem about her family. Each line stood for someone special. Over a decade later her Mom sent a photo of the poem that had been stored in a keep sake box. Within a couple hours and some slight lyrical tweaking, Come from was fully written to be enjoyed by all, but most specifically Ashe’s family.

Pick a Daisy

Life has not always been a smooth ride for Ashe. After reclaiming her life from a traumatic relationship, Pick a Daisy was born. It took seven years and many tries to write, but finally, in the height of the 1 in 3 and ME TOO movements, she found the words to share. This song features powerful lyrics to connect with other women who are fighting their own fight or recovering from their battle.

Cool Wind Blows

As a young 20 year old Ashe started writing her first songs. Cool wind blows was among the first completed. It was written by firelight on the south shore of Lake Superior. She says that something about the way the moonlight casts itself off into the horizon that night of Lake inspired her to write this chilling song.

Young Lovin’

Ashe’s first love was her college beau. While the pairing didn’t last, the fond memories of the simple romance always will. This song was written to reminisce about the time they spent staying at his idyllic cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
